Terms of Service

Effective date: 22 June 2026

MiniMoth, a product by AbhiMan Stories ("we", "us"), provides SMS OTP authentication and session management for developers. By creating an account or using the MiniMoth API, you ("developer", "you") agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What MiniMoth provides

MiniMoth provides an API for sending SMS one-time passcodes (OTPs) to Indian mobile numbers and managing authenticated user sessions on your behalf. The service is designed for developers building applications for users in India. The API currently accepts Indian mobile numbers only (numbers beginning with +91).

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use MiniMoth only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you must not:

  • Use the API for fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purposes
  • Use the API in violation of applicable Indian laws and regulations
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or abuse rate limits or authentication mechanisms
  • Resell or white-label access to the MiniMoth API without prior written permission
  • Use the service to impersonate another entity or to conduct phishing

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conditions without prior notice.

3. Billing and wallet

  • Usage is billed per session created — not per SMS sent. A session is created only when an end-user successfully verifies their OTP.
  • The default rate is ₹0.35 per session. Custom rates may be negotiated for high-volume accounts.
  • All accounts receive ₹50 in free credits at the start of each calendar month. Unused credits do not carry over; they reset on the 1st of each month.
  • Beyond the free credits, you top up a prepaid wallet balance. Sessions are debited from credits first, then from your cash balance.
  • All wallet top-ups are final and non-refundable. If you have a billing dispute, contact us at info@minimoth.dev and we will review it in good faith.
  • If your total balance (credits + cash) falls below the per-session rate, new sessions will not be created until the balance is topped up.

4. API keys and account security

You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not commit keys to public repositories or expose them in client-side code. If you suspect a key has been compromised, regenerate it immediately from the dashboard — regenerating a key instantly invalidates the old one. We are not liable for charges incurred through unauthorised use of your key.

5. Service availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not make any binding uptime or service-level commitments. The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We will communicate significant planned maintenance or outages by email where reasonably possible.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MiniMoth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the one month preceding the claim.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
