₹20

Every new account receives ₹20 in credits on the 1st of each month for its first 3 months. Credits are used before your cash balance and don't carry over — after month 3, you'll top up your balance instead.
No card required to get started.
₹0.35
per OTP sent
Charged when an OTP is dispatched. MiniMoth tries WhatsApp first, then SMS automatically — the charge is reversed if delivery fails on both channels, unless the number shows a recent pattern of repeated delivery failures.

Common questions
- Who is MiniMoth for?
- Indie developers, startups, and early-stage teams building apps for Indian users. It's a good fit for prototypes, MVPs, and projects where getting phone auth working quickly matters more than custom branding. Indian users expect OTP — via WhatsApp or SMS — it's the auth flow they already trust.
- Can I use my own DLT sender ID?
- No. MiniMoth sends all OTPs from its own TRAI DLT-registered sender for SMS. WhatsApp delivery doesn't require DLT registration at all — it goes via Meta's Cloud API. Either way, you skip carrier approvals and compliance paperwork entirely. The tradeoff: your users see MiniMoth's sender name on any SMS, not your brand. If a custom SMS sender ID is a hard requirement, you'll need a full DLT setup through a carrier.
- When am I charged?
- When POST /v1/otp/send is called and the OTP is dispatched — not on verify or session creation. MiniMoth tries WhatsApp first; if that fails, SMS is sent automatically. Either way, it counts as one dispatched OTP.
- What if delivery fails?
- MiniMoth tries WhatsApp first, then falls back to SMS. The charge is reversed automatically to your credits balance, with a refund entry in your transaction history, if delivery fails on both channels — unless the number shows a recent pattern of repeated delivery failures, which we treat as a signal to guard against abuse rather than refund automatically.
- How long do free credits last?
- Your first 3 months as a registered developer. Credits reset to ₹20 on the 1st of each of those months; from month 4 onward they're no longer refreshed, and OTPs are billed against your cash balance instead.
- Do credits carry over?
- No. Within your first 3 months, credits reset to ₹20 on the 1st of each month — unused credits expire rather than accumulating.
- Are top-ups refundable?
- Top-ups are prepaid and non-refundable. If you have a dispute, email info@minimoth.dev and we'll review it in good faith.
